Ambassador Javanshir Akhundov met with Rihards Kols,Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Latvian Saeima, and other members of the Committee in an online video conference. During the meeting, the Ambassador briefed the Committee members on the latest military provocations of Armenia against Azerbaijan and on civilian casualties of our country. Ambassador answered their questions on the Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. He also called the Latvian and the world society to press on Armenia to abide by the 4 resolutions of UN Security Council demanding an immediate and unconditional withdrawal of Armenian armed forces from the occupied territories of Azerbaijan. İn this context Ambassador also informed the committee members that the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan has demanded that Armenia should present a timetable to Azerbaijan on withdrawal of its occupying forces as a precondition for peace.
