The Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the Republic of Latvia held a commemorative events on the 31st anniversary of the 20 January tragedy in Azerbaijan.
Ambassador Javanshir Akhundov and the entire staff of the Embassy took part in a wreath-laying ceremony in front of the Freedom Monument of the Republic of Latvia in memory of the victims of the 20 January tragedy of 1990 in Azerbaijan and the victims of the similar tragedy in Latvia occurred on the 20th of January 1991 that etched in the history as the Commemoration Day of Defenders of the Barricades.
