On May 7, 2018, the Azerbaijani Embassy hosted a conference dedicated to the 95th anniversary of national leader of Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev

Famous representatives of the Latvian society: politicians, scientists and cultural figures, media representatives and heads of several diplomatic missions attended the conference titled "Heydar Aliyev's heritage and development of Azerbaijan".

Welcoming the guests Ambassador Javanshir Akhundov invited the conference participants to watch documentary entitled "Heydar Aliyev, The Way of the Victor" dedicated to the life and activities of national leader of Azerbaijan. Opening the event after the demonstration of the film, Ambassador Akhundov talked about Heydar Aliyev’s leadership and historical services in the development of Azerbaijan. Then, participants of the conference talked about Heydar Aliyev's great services in front of the Azerbaijani people and shared their warm memories about him.
